Teen Safety and Parent Guide

Effective date: June 22, 2026

Up n Around is designed to help friends coordinate real-life plans. This guide gives teens, parents, and guardians practical safety information. It works with our Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and Special Situations.

Age rules

Up n Around is not directed to children under 13. Users must be at least 13 years old. If a user is under the age of majority where they live, they should use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Privacy basics for teens

Location and meet-up safety

Location and availability features are for social coordination, not emergency response or precise tracking. Meet in safe places, tell someone you trust where you are going, arrange your own transportation, follow local rules, and leave if something feels wrong.

Reporting and blocking

Users should report harassment, threats, sexual exploitation, grooming, impersonation, scams, hate, stalking, dangerous behavior, or any content that seems unsafe. Blocking and reporting tools may be available in the app. You can also contact support@upnaround.app.

Parents and guardians

Parents or guardians with questions about a teen's use of Up n Around can contact support. We may need information to verify the request and may be limited in what we can disclose by privacy, safety, and legal obligations.

Immediate danger

Up n Around support is not an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. If a report involves child sexual exploitation or serious harm, we may preserve information, disable accounts, and report to appropriate authorities or organizations where required or appropriate.

Under-13 accounts

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Up n Around, contact support@upnaround.app. We will review and take appropriate steps, which may include deleting the information or disabling the account.
