Community Guidelines
Effective date: June 22, 2026
Up n Around is for low-pressure plans, real friendships, and safer social coordination. These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on the service. They are part of our Terms and Conditions.
Core standard
Use Up n Around in a way that helps people feel respected, safe, and in control of who can reach them. Do not use the service to pressure, deceive, exploit, harass, or endanger anyone.
Objectionable content is not allowed
You may not post, send, upload, promote, or encourage content or behavior that includes:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, threats, coercion, or unwanted sexual attention.
- Hate, dehumanization, slurs, or attacks based on protected or vulnerable characteristics.
- Graphic violence, credible threats, instructions for violence, or praise of violent harm.
- Sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, or content that sexualizes minors.
- Illegal activity, regulated goods sold unlawfully, fraud, scams, phishing, or attempts to steal accounts or money.
- Impersonation, fake identity, deceptive profiles, misleading affiliation, or manipulated content used to deceive.
- Spam, mass unwanted invitations, engagement manipulation, or commercial solicitation without permission.
- Posting or threatening to post private information, precise location, contact details, or sensitive information without permission.
- Malware, scraping, automated abuse, attempts to bypass safety systems, or interference with the service.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Real-world safety
Up n Around helps people coordinate offline. You are responsible for your own decisions, plans, transportation, and safety. Meet in safe places, tell someone you trust if appropriate, and leave any situation that feels unsafe. Do not use the service to lure, pressure, track, or surveil anyone.
Availability and location sharing
Only share availability, location context, or plans with people who should see them. Do not use another person's availability or location information to harass, follow, pressure, or expose them. Do not share screenshots or private plan details outside the intended audience in a way that harms someone or violates their trust.
Messaging and groups
Messages and groups should stay respectful and consensual. Do not repeatedly contact someone who has not responded, continue after being asked to stop, evade a block, or add people to plans or groups in a misleading or abusive way.
Minors and vulnerable users
Users under 13 are not allowed. Users under the age of majority should use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Content that exploits, endangers, sexualizes, or targets minors is prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
Reporting, blocking, and contact
Users should be able to report objectionable content or users, block abusive users, remove contacts, and delete their own posts or accounts from inside the app where those features are available. You can also contact us at support@upnaround.app.
Moderation and enforcement
We may review reports, content, account activity, technical signals, and safety context. Enforcement may include warnings, content removal, reduced visibility, feature limits, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, preservation of evidence, or contacting law enforcement when we believe there is a safety, fraud, exploitation, or legal risk.
We are not required to monitor every interaction, and we may not resolve every dispute in the way a user requests. We may consider context, severity, risk, intent, user history, and legal obligations when taking action. Retention of moderation and safety records is described in Data Retention and Deletion. Lawful and emergency requests are described in our Law Enforcement Guidelines. Account, device, safety, location, payment, and technical edge cases are described in Special Situations. Teen and parent guidance is available in our Teen Safety and Parent Guide.
Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, contact support@upnaround.app with the email or phone number connected to your account, the action you are appealing, and any helpful context. We may decline appeals that are abusive, duplicative, fraudulent, or not verifiable.
Emergency situations
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Up n Around support is not an emergency response service.
Changes
We may update these Community Guidelines as the service evolves, safety risks change, or legal and platform requirements change. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Guidelines.
